When people discuss remodels and renovations they often use the words interchangeably. However, a remodel is completely different from a renovation with many factors to consider.

Without exposing my finances too much, if I wanted to do some renovations to my home, I’d have to pick one or two rooms and save the rest for a later date. I imagine with the uncertainty of the economy, many Americans are in the same boat as me.

1. Updating Paint

Most homes have one or two light fixtures that don’t do a great job of brightening up a room. Using day-light light bulbs in your kitchen and living room to add a more comfortable feel to the room. Bedrooms and bathrooms are the direct opposite for most of us, so you should use a low watt light bulb in bathrooms and bedrooms.
4. Kitchen Upgrades
There are 2 things you can do to your kitchen to improve the functionality of the kitchen for an affordable price, without major remodeling.
1. Change the backsplash of your kitchen to a modern tile, such as Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) for a backsplash that will be eye-popping to all who see it. According to the National Kitchen and Bathroom Association, you can get a nice LVT backsplash for around $500.
One of the coolest things to hit the contracting world in recent years is the 3D tiles that many companies offer. The 3D tiles are incredible and will be the talk of any room you put them in. The only problem is that it’s very difficult to find 3D kitchen backsplash tiles right now with the supply chain issues.
